Waiting for Fall

Seeing all the beautiful Fall decorations in blog land is beginning to get me in the mood to decorate. It hasn't happened yet--being it is still HOT in Florida and therefore no inspiration from outside; and hurricanes still lurking and threatening and such. I did need to pull some things out for a photo-op for some new pumpkins I've made. This decorating idea was inspired by Kimba of a Soft Place to Land when she shared this great decorating idea. Her own inspiration originally came from here (Rachael Ray magazine). Don't you love blog land! Be sure to see the several ways Kimba used this idea with glasses. I especially love her Fall version with mini pumpkins and candles. It got my mind spinning for all kinds of things to put on top and inside the glasses.

These little mini pumpkins have been really fun to make. Little and mini--I guess that's redundant :)

These will be going in Etsy probably later today.

I've also been busy making more of these from last year.

Our air conditioner was out most of this week. Icky sticky. We had a new unit installed--hooray! At least the heat inside is taken care of. I am eager for the H's to be gone--heat and humidity and hurricanes. We are closely eying Ike and wondering if we could be part of the path. Will we have to cancel our vacation plans for next week--we just don't know. Seeking wisdom for when do we decide???? For all who experienced any damage from Fay or Gustav, you have been in my prayers daily. And I pray for all who are in the path of Hannah now--may some of you get much needed rain but no damage. Come on Fall!

For more terrific Fall inspiration check out Fall Nesting Week hosted by Melissa at The Inspired Room. Lots of links for those participating!

I'm going to go do that right now and pretend there are no hurricanes out there.......and get some great ideas.

Those Pumpkins are too cute! I haven't yet put out any fall decorations- I do love fall, but I'm just not ready to say good bye to summer! Plus I'm a Christmas decorating FREAK so sometimes fall gets lost in between decorating seasons! :-)

Hope Ike says far away from your vacation! Hannah will be visiting us tomorrow :-(

Is there anything you can't make with yarn? Those pumpkins are so adorable! I love the pretty frame in the background. I need to get busy with my fall decorating too.

Your little pumpkins are so cute! They remind me of the big one I crocheted many years ago. I put it out this time of year. It has leaves and tendrils. I don't remember where I found the pattern. Probably in a magazine. And I don't know if I still have the pattern somewhere. I made one for my dear mother and we do so enjoy them. Little pumpkins would be cute to go with the the big ones. Your colors are just wonderful. Full of imagination!

Hi Lallee!
Oh I love the pumpkins! Especially the one with the leaves! I will be keeping a watchful eye on your Etsy!
Do you happen to know anyone who is interested in beads? My oh my do I have a ton of them and even posted twice about selling them but do not want to hassle or bother.
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne
Ps. Thank you for your prayers regarding hurricanes. Gustav was my very first (I am a N.CA transplant!).

I hope the upcoming hurricanes don't do anymore damage. Please stay safe!

Those pumpkins are so precious! I looked to see if they were listed in your shop yet, but they're not, so I'll keep checking :)

Happy Fall!

Your little (mini lol;o) pumpkins are the cutest things, Lallee. I think they have so much "personality" the way that you've displayed them. You have such a gift!

I've been watching the tv closely with the all the hurricanes swirling around us. So many of my blog friends have been right in their paths. I pray that Ike doesn't turn out to be as big and bad as they think. Stay safe.

Hey Lallee, Your pumpkins are adorable. Yes, the hurricane hit us yesterday. Loads of heavy, heavy rain and wind. We only had one tree come down and it's has messed with my internet connection. We needed the rain though. Hope you make it on your vacation! ~ Lynn

I love those sweet little pumpkins! I am also in FL. and watching the hurricane, looks like we have dodged another one so far, I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one! I also wanted to tell you that I have decorated for Fall, I'm wishing it would make the cooler weather arrive a little faster, wishful thinking.LOL.
