The Scottie Tree

A lot of my decorations were left in the attic this year, but the Scottie tree had to come out. It always brings me smiles. I'm still collecting ornaments so it is not as dense as I hope to have it eventually. The bead garlands are new this year. I got them last year at Big Lots after Christmas, marked down 75%~which made them 75 cents apiece! I knew they would work well on this tree. The only other additions are these clip art and vintage postcard printouts I quickly did yesterday to fill in a few of the holes.

The bottom of the tree is surrounded by Scottie figurines and a collection of Scottie Christmas cards friends have sent over the years. Look closely behind these cards and you'll see the tin of licorice Scotties I found at Wal-mart this week. Yippee!! And there is my treasured card from President and Mrs. Bush with Barnie and Miss Beazley on the front. And may I go on record and say I can't blame Barnie for biting a reporter? There are some I would like to bite myself ;-) Barney, I sure will miss your Christmas videos.

I was gifted with this adorable tree skirt last year from Becky.

I added some of Becca's Scottie tags from her Etsy shop.

Here are some of last year's pictures of the individual ornaments.

The night time.

Are you being very good before Santa comes? You had better. Not only do elves watch, but so do Scottie angels. Yes they do.

Thank you for looking. I can't wait to show you my kitchen shelves tomorrow.

Oh, what a beautiful collection! We have neighbors with 2 Scottie dogs and they always send cards with them on front. I think they show on my post with the moose and the basket for cards. The Scottie dog card is in front. My neighbor would love to see your tree!

I am a first-time visitor, having been referred here by Scottie News. Of course, I love anything connected with Scottish Terriers and have been a Scottie owner since 1971. Our little Emily is sitting by my feet as I write this.

Our first, Charlotte My Own, seemsd to love decorations and presents. She was respectful of them but got very excited, ran arounf sniffed everything and "talked" a lot.

Thanks for sharing this. Our home is filled with Scottie-related items too.
