Thank you very dear friends for your very kind birthday wishes. I felt like each one of you was right here with me at the beach to celebrate. I wish you really were! You made the week even more special.
Today is our last day of our beach vacation. The surf has looked like the above photo most of the week. It cleared and was calm enough yesterday for a safe swim. We've still had a wonderful relaxing week. I'm not complaining. I wish you could enjoy this view in person with me.

OleanderMy favorite beach activity of shell collecting has been interesting. The rough seas have brought many to shore, but they are mostly broken. I have been drawn to certain broken ones and rocks and worn shells. You'll be seeing more about these when I return home. Texture has been the key attraction.

Oh Lallee, where is this beach? Florida? We have looked for a beach where we can take Sophie. She loves the beach. Everywhere we go on the Gulf Coast is "no dogs allowed." I love your photos.
Oh I want to go to the beach! I can smell it from here.... We are talking about taking our camper out to California next summer and spending two weeks in San Diego or Santa Cruz....... Oh how fun that would be....... Maybe I could urge him to head to Florida! I think they have beaches there!

Hi Laura! I am getting my head "out of the sand" with projects and catching up here. Your Oliver and Baggins look like they are having the very best of times at the beach.
