We're Home!

We came home Tuesday. It's always good to be back home, but we had a wonderful week. I could turn around and do it all over again! I have finally finished editing all the photos and you can see them in my Flickr set here if you like.

We're trying to vacation at home this week--always a challenge not to fall back into the usual routine. Something we will be working on over the summer is this:

Yes, stripping wallpaper in the master bath. Big Ugh!!! We have put it off for years because it is going to be a bear of a job! It is the hardest wallpaper to get off than we have ever tackled. The ceilings are high, so that is another challenge. You'll have to stick around a very loooooonnnnnnngggggg time if you want to see the completion of this room redo. I'll be sharing more later. I do have a paint color.......I think. The middle beige on the card:

Mr. H removed the ceramic toilet paper holder and patched the wall.

I am now looking for a replacement. I mentioned this out loud and he immediately sent me links for these possibilities.

How sporting.

Nature calls?

If you're going to sit awhile you need your iPod?

I think Mr. H needs to stick to wallpaper removal and leave the decorating to me. What do you think? I know you'll be waiting with baited breath to see if I follow any of his suggestions.

I don't ency the wallpaper stripping job! We are embarking on a kitchen remodel in the next week or so...and UGH...we are taking down the walls and ceilings and going down to the studs....I would rather strip stubborn wallpaper! GOOD LUCK! I'll be waiting to see what you do with this space...

What a wonderful trip you had! I loved looking at yor pictures. We head to the beach, at Gulf Shores, Alabama, next week.

have fun with that wallpaper! It is a tough job but I now you can do it!
Your husband's choices of TP holders tickled me. The IPod holder would be a BIG hit here! *laugh*

Happy Birthday (I know I am late!) and here's to a fabulous new decade!

Love,
Sue

I'm so glad you had a good time:>) Personally I think "nature calls" is hilarious, but only if you put that on a sign above the horn fixture:>) Don't show my husband, he'll want one too!

Our husbands must be related!!! OR maybe it is just a "man" thing!!

I think he should leave the decorating to you!!!

Hey Lallee; I love the color you choose for your bath, I remember having to tear off some really old wallpaper, it was not fun. I am married to a die hard Geek, so guess what one he would pick... lol I don't think I will show him this..
Happy 4th July.

Hugs;
Alaura

Laura, This is the funniest post! I so would like to being redoing rooms, but the thought of removing wallpaper keeps making me say, "How bad is it really?" The answer, "Really bad!"

I hear you about all of the work with stripping wallpaper. Blood, sweat and tears!
